Philip finds that peoples personalities are captured better when they are relaxed and having fun. That is why his location portraits are so successful. During your initial conversations with Philip‚ he finds out what things you enjoy doing‚ and tries to bring those elements together. This could be your favourite place that you go to for walks‚ passionate hobbies or locations that mean a lot to you in a more personal level. The Portrait Book

Philip is pioneering a new style of portrait presentation that a lot of customers are getting excited about. A typical location photo shoot produces a wide range of shots, which customers would like to keep. They are finding that they can’t put them all on the wall. The portrait book is innovative, in that it brings all of these fantastic shots together into proper book‚ with the images in different sizes and layout styles. A typical Portrait Book would have 30 pages, full of images of your loved ones, which will be looked at for years to come.

This provides a great way of showing all of the photo session to all your family and friends, wherever they are.

How long will the photo shoot last?: Photo shots last somewhere between 1 and 2 hours‚ depending on the flow of the session
Where does the shoot take place?: Philip’s photo shoots can take place at the studio‚ in Newcastle or a location that has special significance to the client. This can be at their home or perhaps the park or the beach‚ although Philip is happy to bring ideas to his clients.
What do I need for the photo session?: If the shoot is to be at the studio or at home‚ it is advisable to have a small number changes ready. If the shoot is to take place on location‚ a few tops‚ jumpers or casual jackets can provide a different look.
What about make–up?: Most people prefer to do their own make-up. Should you wish to have a professional make—up artist‚ we can arrange this for you for a nominal fee of £60.
What about clothes or toys for the children?: Several outfits are useful. If your child has a favorite outfit‚ this would help to make the child comfortable in front of the camera. In addition‚ if they have a favorite toy — consider bringing it with you — no matter how grubby and chewed it may seem!
When do we see our images?: After the session‚ we arrange a time to visit the studio. This normally takes place about two weeks after the sitting. The viewing takes the form of a projected slideshow‚ allowing you to view the images in a relaxed atmosphere. You will be given plenty of time to make your selection and choose your preferred method of presentation.
How are the final images presented?: The images chosen from your viewing session can be presented in a frame‚ multi—frame or Canvas. We also have a Portrait Album‚ which allows the images to be displayed in their best format‚ and ensures that they are preserved for years of enjoyment.
Can friends and family see the results of the shoot?: Approximately a week after your viewing session‚ all of the images will be available on our website for friends and family to see. They can order prints for themselves too.
