About Philip Ryott Photography
Philip has been involved in photography from an early age, studying it as a favourite subject during school and then further studies at evening class. While employed at a printing company for 27 years, he was involved in setting up and running a photographic studio during the final 5 years of his employment with them. During this time his passion for photography was reignited and led him into social photography.
Having 5 years experience shooting wedding in all of the top venues, he still finds the emotion and the passion that first sent him on his journey into photography.
From 2006, Philip has been based in The Biscuit Factory, within walking distance from the centre of Newcastle. He has enjoyed a successful first year in his new studio, and is keen to develop all areas of his work, while maintaining a steady focus on customer satisfaction.
Philip is enjoying success as a member of The Master photographers Association, after just qualifying as a Licentiate member 1 year ago. This entitled him to enter the annual awards competition, which is only entered by full time professional photographers. In his first year of entering, he has been successful in winning “North East Licentiate Wedding Photographer of the Year” for 2007.
This is a great achievement for him, and is validation to his creative technique and passion for his job, although you can’t call your passion your job.
